Now that we're in our final year in our undergradzz it's so fun to look back and see how far we've come in this relationship. He has become my other half during these past 2+ years and I am so encouraged by him everyday to be a better daughter, sister, friend, and disciple. A year ago, we were talking about studying abroad together in London and after many many many failed attempts.. I had to accept that maybe it wasn't what God wanted.
Now that he's back in Boston and I'm here in London..I'm so thankful that we both got to experience studying abroad without each other. In trying to make the long distance work I've always felt like a part of me was missing when he was gone and it was not a good feeling. Even though the distance has grown even more distant it's amazing how much love and grace God has been pouring into our relationship.
I think now I know why God wanted us to come here during different times..for us to find ourselves outside of our relationship and to grow closer to Him while being separated. Thanks to Gary I was able to grow closer in my relationship with God and was reminded how broken we both truly are, but because of God's grace we're able to be healed and fixed together.
